Here is the list of laboratory equipments and articles made of enamel wares:
  1. Pitcher – This is receptacle for water and large amount of solution.  The method of cleaning is washing with soap and water.
  2. Flushing Cup – This is receptacle of warm water for perennial hygiene.  The method of cleaning is washing with soap and water.
  3. Irrigation Can – This is receptacle of solutions as in enemas.  The method of cleaning is washing with soap and water.
  4. Kidney Basin – This is receptacle for body secretion and some contaminated articles such as used dressing.  The method of cleaning is rinsing with water if used as a sputum receptacle, autoclave if to be used in sterile procedures.
  5. Enamel Cup – This is used as receptacle for some medications during treatment.  The method of cleaning is washing with soap and water, autoclave for sterile procedures.
  6. Enamel Bowls –This is maybe sterile or non-sterile according to use; receptacle for solutions during treatments.  The method of cleaning is washing with soap and water, autoclave for sterile procedures.
  7. Wash Basin – This is used for water for bed-bath and may also be used as container for some solutions.  The method of cleaning is washing with soap and water.
  8. Bath Tub – This is used for bathing and cleaned using soap and water. 
  9. Pail – This is also used as a receptacle for water of solution during treatment e.g. bed shampoo, continuous compress and should be cleaned by soap and water.
  10. Bedpan – This is used as receptacle for urine and stools for patients who cannot tolerate going to the comfort room.  The method of cleaning is washing with soap and water.
  11. Urinal – This is used as receptacle for urine of male patients, who are non-ambulatory.  The method of cleaning is washing with soap and water.
  12. Tray – This is used as a container of some articles to facilitate transport.  This maybe sterile or non-sterile.
  13. Sputum Cup – This is used as a receptacle for sputum and can be cleaned by rinsing with water.
  14. Cotton Jars – These serve as container for sterile cotton and should be cleaned using soap and water, then autoclave.
  15. Enamel Can – This serve as container for sterile articles.  The method of cleaning is washing with soap and water, then autoclave.
  16. Boiler or Sterilizer – This is used for sterilization purpose and cleaned by rinsing with soap and water.
  17. Powder Shaker – This is serves as container for powder used for gloving.
